3rd Grade Supply List
2008-2009
Dear Parents,
We would like to welcome you to the third grade and get you all ready for the first day of school.
We look forward to meeting you all and having a great year of discovery and learning.
To help with this process we request your child come to school the first day with the following items:
- Pencils
- Markers or Colored Pencils or Crayons
- Soft-sided Pencil Pouch*(no pencil boxes)
*it should easily fit the pencils and markers, if it does not zip easily, there is too much stuff in it
- Two 2-pocket folders
- Three spiral bound wide ruled notebooks (70 pages)
- Two packs of wide ruled, loose leaf notebook paper
- Boys - 2 Boxes of Kleenex
- Girls - Clorox Brand Disinfecting Wipes (must be Clorox brand per Wake County Schools regulations)
- Each third grader will be required to purchase a homework planner on the first day of school (price to be announced).
- Your child's teacher may ask for 1 or 2 additional items the first few weeks of school to meet the specific instructional needs of their classroom.
We recommend that each child have at home a Webster’s Intermediate dictionary and a student thesaurus.
