Dear Parents and Students,
Welcome to fifth grade! We are all excited about the new school year and seeing you in class. The following checklist of suggested supplies will help you prepare for the first day of school.

Clorox Wipes
Hand Sanitizer
extra markers or #2 pencils for the class
extra notebook
paper for the class to share
Black or blue
Sharpie markers
Red pens
extra sets of colored pencils
sandwich-sized Ziploc bags

• ___ 3-ring binder (choose one that is 2” or larger)
• ___ loose leaf paper (wide or college-ruled)
• ___ zippered pencil pouch that can be clipped into binder (3ring) (NO Pencil boxes)
• ___ #2 pencils
• ___ blue or black ball point pens
• ___ package of multicolored highlighter pens
• ___ package of red pens
• ___ package of colored pencils
• ___ five laminated pocket folders, separate from notebook with three holes already punched in them
• ___ one package of washable markers
• ___ three spiral notebooks
• ___ one marble composition book (100 sheets/200 pages)
• ___ strong book bag or tote bag (No Wheels)
• ___ one pair scissors
• ___ a box of tissues

Each fifth grader will be required to purchase a homework planner on the first day of school. The cost of this planner is $6.00. Checks may be made payable to Washington Elementary School. Over the past four years, we have found these planner notebooks to be an invaluable resource in helping the students to build responsibility and to become and remain organized.
