Welcome to Kindergarten at WashinGTon!

We know you are excited about your little one coming to Kindergarten. As you are preparing him or her for the changes ahead, we thought you might appreciate this basic list a little early. You will receive more specific information from your teacher at Meet the Teacher Day in August.
Your child will need:

• A Large backpack without wheels – though the smaller bags are cute, your child will be bringing home his Monday Folder each week (this is an 11 ½ x 14 ½ envelope) as well as their many works of art!
• A large towel – this will be used during the first quarter for rest time.
• One complete change of clothes – accidents will happen - paint, mud, water, lunch etc. (Be sure to change this with the seasons and for growth spurts.)
• Several #2 pencils
• 2 glue sticks
• Elmer’s glue-all (not school glue)
• A pair of Fiskars blunt tip scissors
• A box of crayons
• A box of markers
• A black and white marble composition notebook
• Clorox brand surface wipes

Be sure to label everything with your child’s name – backpacks, supplies, lunchboxes, jackets, etc.

All classes use Tissues and Baby Wipes daily. Most use Zip-Top Bags of all sizes and Band-aids as well. If you pick up a few of these while you are shopping, they will be greatly appreciated.
