If you would like to volunteer on any committee described below, please fill out the form and check the committees which interest you. A representative from the PTA will be in contact with you as they need help on each committee you select.

Educare	Educare (Co-operative Playgroup):Leave younger siblings with playgroup in WashinGTon’s Ready-to-Learn center while volunteering in classroom, baby-sit playgroup: once a month throughout year
Holiday Magic	Assist with organizing, collecting, and delivering gifts: Nov-Dec
Legislative Liaison	*Assist with gathering and distributing government information that affects WashinGTon students: all year
Ready-to-Learn Center	Support activities, work with staff: throughout the year
Washington Neighbors	Help families in need due to emergencies or sudden need: cook meal(s), provide transportation (vans and trucks), help with phone calls, babysitting, etc.: throughout the year as needed
Weekly Readers Mornings	Reading with children 30-40 minutes/week (older siblings and grandparents are welcome): all year (Before or after center times and before carpool are great times) Mornings

SEPTA Special Education PTA	SEPTA hopes to have liaisons in each school to share information between SEPTA and the school's PTA. Liaisons are required to be members of both PTAs and to attend their school's PTA meetings to represent the interests of parents and teachers of children receiving special education services.

Media Center
Book Adventure, Books and Beyond	Help coordinate reading incentives for students based on their progess in program. All year
Book Fair	Help plan, set-up and work: during school day and during the week
Dedicate-a-Book	Assist students and parents when they buy books: March
Dedicate-a-Book	Help cover and label books, write thank you notes, deliver books: end of March
Feed-the-Seed	Read 30 minutes in your child’s classroom from pre-chosen books, monthly 1 or more times: throughout year
Media Center Volunteers	Assist in media center: shelving books, circulation: throughout year
Media Center Workday	Clean-up, cover books, minor repair to shelves, laminate bookmarks, etc
Summer Reading Challenge	Collect and tally game boards, print certificates, coordinate incentives-Fall

To be a room parent, please contact your student's teacher.
Room Parent for Specialists	Please indicate your preference (Goodman, Hunt, Kidwell, Reading, Dance, Foreign Language, PE, Drama, Art, Music, Band, Orchestra, etc) in the comments section below. Tasks will vary depending on the teacher.
Health Room	Work in office health room to assist students with minor injuries--Band-Aids, ice, etc.: weekdays, throughout year
Hospitality	Donate Baked Goods for events: throughout year
Hospitality	Serve refreshments at events: throughout year
Lost & Found	Organize lost and found area, return lost items, assist with donating unclaimed items: throughout year
Allynna Stone Math and Science Courtyard & School Grounds	Implement plans, planting and upkeep: throughout year

School Store	Help students run school store: once/week, 8:30-9:00
Vision Screening	Assist nurse, training provided: fall
Washington Willing Workers	Help with teachers’ administrative work (copying, collating, laminating, etc.), can bring younger children: weekdays throughout year
