His favorite elective is Theater Production, better known as the play. He likes it because he gets to work with over 90 kids for two whole quarters!! His favorite prop is the sword. He enjoys using them "safely." "Annie was very challenging," he says. "It was my favorite play so far. It was so cool because it was based on the actual Broadway version."
Art Teacher Ms. Drum
Ms. Drum is the art teacher at WashinGTon Elementary. Every year at WashinGTon Elementary, Ms. Drum's Behind The Scenes elective paints scenery for the play. Ms. Drum's favorite scenery was for Tom Sawyer. She liked it because she can "fly scenery in and out". Annie, the play a couple of years ago, was the hardest because they had to add a lot of stuff, like Mrs. Hannigan's and Mr. Warbuck's offices. Ms. Drum started painting when she was only 4. Her favorite art materials are acrylic paint, paper mache`, and wire because she does best in these areas.
Mrs. Eacret Dance Teacher

Mrs. Eacret is the dance teacher at WashinGTon Elementary. Her dance career started when she was only 3 years old!! Her favorite type of dance is modern dance because of the free-feeling movements. Her favorite dance move is a leap. It is her favorite move because of how fun it is to go high in the air. It makes you feel almost as if you're "floating". Dance Forms is Mrs. Eacret's favorite elective. She likes it because of all of the unusual and fun dance forms she gets to teach.
Music Teacher Mr. Reece
Mr. Reece is the music teacher at Washington. He has been teaching music for 13 years, but has been teaching at Washington for 7 years. Even though he played the flute, clarinet, and the saxophone as a child, his favorite instrument is the oboe just because he enjoys playing it and listening to its sound. Mr. Reece likes to teach the keyboard electives. Why? " I like to see the faces of the students when they realize they can play the piano! It's rewarding for them!" His favorite play that has been performed at WashinGTon is the play, Annie because of the hardworking cast.
Mrs. Worley Orchestra Teacher

Mrs.Worley is the orchestra teacher at WashinGTon Elementary. She has been teaching orchestra 5 years, and this is her 6th year of teaching. She plays the cello, violin, frenchhorn, guitar, and trumpet. Mrs. Worley's favorite is the cello. It has a deep, mellow sound and it is big and "huggable". "WashinGTon's orchestra is different from others," she says, "because the students love a challenge. The wide range of backgrounds makes orchestra a unique experience for me, too." At concerts, she thinks it is a reflection of what they've been working on." If they've been working hard, they will play wonderfully. NO REGRETS!!!!!!"
