Student
of the Month

CALLING ALL WIZARDS!!!
Every month, one student from each classroom is chosen to be student of the month. If your child is chosen, this means they've displayed positive character traits. An example is if your child's teacher left the room requesting the children to stay quiet and they did or showing respect would be not talking even if others were. Prizes include certificates, popcorn and a picture on the billboard outside the Main Office on the 2nd floor.
So, remind your children to
be the best WashinGTon Elementary wizards that they
can
be. Remember, all
children
need
to follow these character traits. Ask your children what they've
been doing at school. This will be a big help in the school's saftey. Remember,
by focusing on positive character traits, the students can improve
Washington
Elementary.
Students enjoy student of the month and to prove it, I've interviewed a local
Kindergartener, Spencer Blake, to see what he thinks about the student of
the month. Spencer was picked as student of the month for
the month
of March in Mrs. Jackson's class. I asked him the following questions:
1. Do you like the prizes?
Yes, they're great. You get popcorn,
a giftcard to the school store and that's it.
2.Do you think you earned being
picked for student of the month and why?
Yes, because I was really good
and did the best I could.
3. Have you ever gotten a cardflip
and why?
I got 1 cardflip for talking
in the quiet zone.
4. Did you know you were being
good?
Yes, because I was being kind
to people a lot. I would give you more words if...if...I wasn't being
tickled!!!
If Spencer can be the best he could, then I'm certain your kids can to. So, like in are daily words of wisdom, be kind, be responsible and be the best you can be, the choice is yours.
